The Alderson Broaddus University (AB) is led by Dr. James ‘Tim’ Barry who is currently the 10th president of this esteemed institution. He has had a lot of experience in his higher education administration career. He started off at admissions at Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa and is also the former vice president of development for People to People International and former executive director at Newman Catholic Student Center at the University of Iowa.
With all of his experience and expertise, Dr. James Barry is dedicated to creating an environment that allows students to get quality education and build a strong, positive character.

Liberal Studies
Courses are based on the old conviction that certain basic knowledge and skills are required to live well and successfully. Some of the doctrines taught are English, Mathematics, Physics, Basic Computer Science, History, Biology, Chemistry, Religion and Philosophical Reflection.
Tuition and Fees
International students must have a total or an excess of $41,530. Here is a breakdown
If the expenses are not paid on time may led to dismissal of the student and cancellation of that student’s visa.
Expenses NOT included here:
• Health insurance. All students, including international students, are required to have adequate health insurance. International students must secure their own policies.
• Spending money. International students should consider what they will need. It is extremely difficult for international students to work in the U.S. and the US government limits earnings to approximately $3,500 a year. Therefore, a work study situation cannot be stated as a source of support unless there’s ongoing employment.
• $200 Enrollment Fee. This is a one-time expense that is not part of your tuition. The enrollment fee is refundable if you are denied a visa, but you must attach the denial slip to the refund request.
• $100 Document Fee. This is a one-time non-refundable expense that covers the cost of the shipping of original documents. You may be required to cover the cost of shipping directly if you want documents shipped to a place not serviced by FedEx.
• Other fees. Students may be billed additional fees for programs or labs that will be included on the bill.
Financial Aid
